Our grapes ripen and our wines mature in loving harmony with nature, a unique bond that brings out their distinctively individual character. The estate’s exceptionally favourable climate and unique soil are the two fundamental elements that give our wines their outstanding personality and transform them into authentic ambassadors for our terroir.
Our vineyards lie in San Miniato – known for its exquisite white truffels – in the heart of the hill country through which the Arno and Elsa rivers run. It is here that we cultivate approximately 14 hectares of grapes as well as 1,000 olive trees.
The nearby warm Tyrrhenian sea and the Tramontana winds that blow down from the north create an unrivalled site climate characterised by very hot days and consistently cool nights. Combine these weather conditions with vine-friendly soil laden with the fossil remains of ancient sea life and its no wonder that our grapes achieve such perfect ripeness. Stewardship of this wonderful gift of nature is our pledge and the vision we strive to achieve.

The most stringent standards are enforced in our vineyards and wine cellar to ensure that our products are natural, hand-crafted and authentic. Since 2003, we have embraced biodynamic agriculture and are working to convert the estate’s entire production also in terms of natural cellar management.
Our wines – Nicolò, Nicole and Annick – are created exclusively from hand-picked fruit. Grapes from our Malvasia and Trebbiano vines part-dry slowly as they hang in long strands from the ceiling of our wine cellar to become Fedardo – the typical dessert wine from Tuscany.
For our olive oils, we hand-pick fruit from several varieties – Grossario, Morcaio, Leccino, Pendolinjo and Frantoio – and bring them together in a harmonious blend. We also produce a single-variety oil from the rare Mignola olive.
